St. Andrew's United Reformed Church
Ramshill Road, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 2LN

Welcome to St. Andrew's. The church building was opened in 1865 and is Grade II* listed, but we hope we have made it as accessible as possible.
There is an accessible entrance at the front of the church. The main doors have a step, however the side door (next to Ramshill Road) is level and wheelchair accessible. In colder weather this may be closed, but a greeter will be happy to open it for you.
Inside the Church
The body of church has Victorian pews, but two accessible slots for wheelchairs are available, one off the left-hand aisle, and one off the right-hand aisle. There are ramps up to these spaces.
There is a step up into both side chapels, but a ramp can be provided.
The church is fitted with an induction-loop system for the benefit of hearing-aid users and is used at all services.
Large print service booklets and hymn books are available.
At some points in the service the minister may invite the congregation to stand; you are welcome to remain seated if this is more comfortable for you.
Communion (first Sundays in the month) is served to all in their seats, so there is no need to come forward
The Beacon Hall
The hall can be accessed from inside the church, or via the side door in Albion Road. Use the gate at the front of the church and follow the paved path around the left-hand side of the building. There is a bell on the door should you want assistance.
The kitchen is accessible from the doors in the hall, please be aware the kitchen aisles are narrow, however there is turning space at the ends.
There is a level corridor from Beacon Hall to a toilet with good wheelchair access space. There are grab rails in this toilet. To access this toilet from the church, take the right-hand door next to the organ. From the Beacon Hall use the door next to the bookcase.
